NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (London) Review & MOTD

Hello!

Today I'm going to write a very short post about my favourite lip product this month - this gorgeous matte lip cream by NYX. I got it in December and have been using it quite often lately. I originally wanted to get the shade Transylvania (deep plum) but the NYX store didn't have it and I got this one (London). 

Pros:

• Matte and very long-lasting 
• Doesn't dry out
• Affordable (£5.50 on the UK NYX website)
• Good colour selection 

Cons:

• The smell is quite strong with this one. I'm not particularly fond of it. 

Would I buy it again? Definitely. I'd love to get my hands on the shade Transylvania one day.

 I've noticed I've been posting quite a lot of NYX reviews lately. Mainly because they offer a make-up artist discount and the products are very very good value for money. 

On my lips the product looks like this:

However, I think it looks a bit more brown in real life. Less pink.

Eyebrow Tutorial + Pictorial

Pictorial:

1. Draw the lower end of the brow with eyebrow pencil

2. Now the upper end 

3. Fill in with brow cake 

4. Fill in the front

5. Clean up with concealer

6. Set with clear mascara 

Done!

REVIEW: KIKO eyeshadows #102 & #223 + Swatches

Hello!

I know I reviewed some KIKO loose pigments last week but I've got some more KIKO products to write about - two pressed eyeshadows. 

I got #122 (Dark Pearly Gold) and #223 (Light Pearly Rose). Unfortunately, I somehow managed to drop and break #122. This is why it looks so bad in the picture. 

Both eyeshadows are very pigmented. More pigmented than the KIKO loose pigments I reviewed last week. They are easy to blend and the lasting power is quite good. Very fine milled, no visible glitter.

They are good value for money too - the eyeshadows are bigger than MAC shadows (2g vs 1,5g). I got #102 for € 2,90 and #223 for 4,90€.

#102 Dark Pearly Gold

I use #102 as a lid colour. It's not matte but it's not glittery either. There is a nice sheen to it. There is no fallout, which is great. The packaging is okay, nothing too fancy, but it's good enough. 

#223 Light Pearly Rose

I like both eyeshadows, but prefer #223. It reminds me of MAC Shroom and Illamasqua Slink eyeshadow (I love both!). It's not an exact dupe but works just as well. It's a great light pink brow bone highlighter. I also use it on my cheekbones sometimes. This eyeshadows is supposed to be put in a KIKO palette, but I didn't get one, so I'm just going to use it with the plastic lid they come with (and hope it doesn't break :D).

NYX Slim Lip Pencil #835 Review & MOTD

Hello!

I know I reviewed two NYX Butter Glosses only a week ago but I've got some more NYX stuff left to write about - a lip pencil, a Soft Matte Lip Cream and a Wonder Pencil. 

Today's short review is of the lip pencil I got - #835 Pinky. I got it so I could pair it with MAC Girl About Town lipstick. Both the lip pencil and the lipstick are bright pink so they look gorgeous worn together!

I love love love the texture of these liners. They glide on smooth and last for hours. I'm very impressed with the staying power - I put it on at 9 a.m, came home at 15 p.m and my lipstick hadn't moved at all. 

The pigmentation is great too. You can actually wear this instead of lipstick - it's very very pigmented. 

Here's a picture of my lips with the lip pencil only. No lipstick. 

The price of this liner is about £3 on Amazon. Definitely good value for money. I like it more than I expected I would - probably as much as I like my MAC lip liners. There is a good selection of colours, so I'll probably buy some more of these in the future :)
